Fred Evans, co-founder of RE/MAX Gold Coast was honored and awarded The Luminary of Distinction award from RE/MAX corporate. This award is the most exclusive RE/MAX Career Award, representing the highest level of achievement in all of RE/MAX. To qualify for the Luminary of Distinction, a RE/MAX Associate must have earned a certain level of individual gross commissions in more than 20 years with the network. Only 102 agents have ever reached this production level out of 134,769 agents worldwide. 

Fred believes that everyone has the chance to grow and get ahead on the strength of their own efforts.  “What is important is finding a profession to which your talents direct you to make the most of whoever you are.  And then, hopefully, by working hard and keeping hope alive, you can make a difference and contribute to the whole,” said Evans.  After earning a marketing degree from Cal State in 1969, Fred spent 16 years in retail management with Sears and Roebuck.  He declined a promotion to company headquarters and joined a national real estate firm.  His star rose quickly, due to his people skills, energy, desire, and persistence.  At the height of his career, he left that firm to pursue growth opportunities with RE/MAX.  He determined that RE/MAX could provide the best systems and support tools in the industry.  With this infrastructure in place, he undertook the new challenge of building one of the top real estate teams in the world!
